About Me

Thanks for stopping by!  My name is One Catholic.  Why this blog you ask?  I have been interested in the study of religion for over 10 years now.  Throughout those years, I have studied Christianity (various forms), Hinduism, Alternative Religions, and General Philosophy (is there even such an entity?).  I am what they call a “cradle Catholic”, meaning that I’ve been Catholic for the last 23 years of my life (meaning, since birth!).  I studied psychology (and natural sciences) at Georgetown University, and also took courses in general philosophy, Catholic theology, Hinduism, and bioethics.  Currently I am looking towards a career in basic science and medicine, and am working towards that goal.

Religion wise (isn’t that why you’re here?), I am interested in Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy as well as Mormonism.  While I have no interest at all in converting to Mormonism, I do find the liturgics of Eastern Christianity (Catholic and Orthodox) beautiful, as well as the Eastern Christian approach to theology.  Therefore, this blog will focus on my views on those three religions, at least for the most part.

I hope you enjoy!
